This is a 100m diameter semicircular man made wall originally built as part of Port Phillip Bay's defense network. Inside the annulus the sand is only 1.5m deep and outside the rock walls slope down to 12m.
Fishing has been prohibited here for many years making this a great dive experience. Even if the current is running you can find a sheltered side to spend as much bottom time as you want. This is also an excellent snorkelling spot for non divers and kids. The resident Gannet colony and the occasional sunbaking seals add to the fun of this site. Just dont spend too much time down wind.
